Tempe, AZ – The University of Iowa softball team was defeated by Arizona State 8-1 in the final game of the Littlewood Classic Sunday. Iowa’s record now stands at 6-4 overall.

Arizona State got on the board early, scoring two runs in the bottom of the first off a bases loaded error and a sacrifice fly by ASU’s Heidi Knabe. The Sun Devils added two more runs in the bottom of the third off a home run by Knabe to increase their lead to 4-0.
