Hawkeyes Begin Spring Season

GUADALAJARA, MEXICO – The Iowa men’s golf team opened the spring season Sunday in Guadalajara, Mexico, at the North Texas Classic. After 36 holes of competition, the Hawkeyes are in ninth with a team score of 626.

Junior Dan Holterhaus led the Hawkeyes in the first two rounds of competition. He carded a 150 to finish the day tied for 14th. Senior Jon Feldick posted a 159 to end tied for 36th. Sophomore Cole Peevler carded a 162 and finished in 43rd. Junior Scot Glasford recorded a score of 166 to end the day tied for 46th. Finally, junior Adam Miller finished with a 174 in 51st place.

The Hawkeyes will continue competition at the North Texas Classic Monday. Players will tee off for the final 18 holes at 7:30 a.m.
