Sophomore Lindsey Digmann then slapped an infield single that plated Downs. Junior Erin Riemersma’s ground ball was then bobbled at third base, which allowed Schuelke to slide in safely. Senior Emily Nichols lined a ball to shortstop and the attempted throw to third for a double play sailed to the fence and Carmody scored. Iowa wrapped up its scoring with an RBI single by junior Colleen McGlaughlin.
