USTFCCCA Releases Preseason Rankings

IOWA CITY, IA – The U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association has released its preseason rankings for the 2008 Cross Country season. The University of Iowa women’s squad is ranked 27th nationally after finishing 10th in the final poll of 2007. Within the Midwest conference, Iowa’s women rank fourth and the men’s team is ranked seventh. Both teams saw a slight drop from the 2007 preseason rankings. At the 2007 Midwest Regional meet, the women placed third while the men placed ninth. .
