Fans Can Follow Hawkeyes At National Duals

IOWA CITY, IA — Hawkeye fans can follow the top-ranked Iowa wrestling team’s performance at this weekend’s 2010 NWCA/Cliff Keen National Duals at the UNI Dome in Cedar Falls, IA, several ways. Following are links and information for radio, television, online audio and video, and live results for the tournament.

Top-seeded Iowa (9-0) will face #15 Nebraska (8-3) in the tournament’s first round Saturday at 9 a.m. The two-day annual tournament will feature top wrestlers from each collegiate athletic division (NCAA Divisions I, II and III, NAIA, JUCO and Women’s). The Hawkeyes have a 62-10-3 record at the National Duals, winning five team titles, including the last two. The Division I field includes eight of the top 10 ranked teams in the most recent USA Today/NWCA coaches poll. Arizona State, Bloomsburg, Boise State, Buffalo, Central Michigan, Cornell, Iowa State, Maryland, Minnesota, Missouri, Northern Iowa, Northwestern, Ohio State and Wisconsin will also be competing with Iowa and Nebraska for the Division I title.

Radio & Online Audio – Steven Grace and two-time Hawkeye NCAA champion and four-time all-American Mark Ironside will call the action for Iowa’s duals live on AM-800, KXIC. Live audio broadcasts will also be available online at www.hawkeyesports.com using the Hawkeye All-Access subscription ($14.95 per month or $119.95 per year).

Takedown Wrestling Radio will also broadcast portions of the tournament at www.Takedownradio.com.

Television – Iowa Public Television will air a taped-delay broadcast of the Division I championship semifinals Sunday at 1 p.m. and a live broadcast of the Division I championship finals Sunday at 3 p.m.

Online Video – Livesportsvideo.com will be airing video of National Duals matches throughout the tournament on their website. Fans can access the video feed through the site for a $5 fee.
