IOWA CITY, Iowa –Dominic Patrick, a senior at Campo Verde High School in Gilbert, Ariz., has signed a national letter of intent to play tennis for the University of Iowa.
Patrick is a five-star recruit who is ranked No. 1 in the Southwest Region and No. 58 nationally. He is also the 47th best recruit nationally out of the 2012 class.
Patrick, the Arizona State High School singles champion, chose Iowa over Wake Forest, Michigan State, Louisville and Marquette.
“We are thrilled with Dominic’s decision to come to Iowa,” said head coach Steve Houghton. “His rankings and tournament results reveal what a great junior player he has been. We’re just as excited about his character and potential, also.”
