Hawkeye Rowing Prepares for the Head of the Iowa

THIS WEEK: The University of Iowa women's rowing team will finish out the fall season with the Head of the Iowa. Competition will begin at approximately 10:00 a.m. THE RACE: In Sunday's regatta, rowers will race down a 2.5 mile stretch of the Iowa River. The Hawkeyes will compete in the women's varsity 8's, women's varsity 4's, women's pairs and novice 8's. EVENT INFORMATION: Teams that will be represented in this years Head of the Iowa include Creighton, Drake, Iowa State, Marquette, Colorado, Minnesota, Notre Dame, Wisconsin, Iowa and the Hawkeye Rowing Club. Fans will be able to catch the action along the banks of the Iowa River throughout most of campus. Additional viewing areas can be found on the Park Road, Hancher or IMU bridges.
