IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa baseball team has set the dates for its winter camps, which will take place later this month at the new Indoor Practice Facility. Registration for each camp is open. Space is limited so sign up today.
The Future Hawks Winter Evaluation Camps will hold three camps on Dec. 27-28, offering a great opportunity to receive quality instruction and showcase one’s skills to the Hawkeye coaching staff.
The pitchers and catchers camp will take place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Proper pitching and catching mechanics and fundamentals will be taught by the Iowa coaching staff.
The position players’ camp will be held from 1-4 p.m. Players will be given instruction in all areas of the game by the Hawkeye coaches. Campers will be timed in the 40, 60, home-to-first and home-to-second, and will be evaluated on arm strength, defense and hitting.
The Elite Next Level Camp will take place from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. on Dec. 28. Costs are $110 for one session, $200 for two sessions or $280 for all three sessions.
The Youth Hitting Camp will be held on Dec. 28 from 1-3:30 p.m. The one day session will include basic and advanced skill work in the art of hitting.
