Basketball Doubleheader: Ticket and Parking Information

IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa men’s and women’s basketball teams will open the 2014-15 regular season with a doubleheader on Friday night on Mediacom Court at Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The 19th-ranked Iowa women host USC Upstate at 6 p.m. (CT), with the men following against Hampton at 8:30 p.m.

Fans in attendance for the women’s game are invited to stay for the men’s game, but will not have a reserved seat. They are invited to stand at the rail along the concourse or sit in student sections G-K above row 30. Fans with a men’s ticket are welcome to attend the women’s game with their men’s ticket and sit in sections G-K. Beginning at halftime of the women’s game, all tickets sold will be at the men’s prices.

Tickets are available by visiting the ticket office at Carver-Hawkeye Arena, calling 1-800-IA-HAWKS, or online at hawkeyesports.com.

Single-game women’s basketball tickets are $12 for adults. Youth — high school-aged and younger — are admitted free to all weekday games, including Friday night games. Youth tickets for weekend games cost $8. Youth — five years old and younger — are admitted free to all games. UI students are admitted free with student ID.

Men’s tickets to Friday’s opener, as well as all men’s basketball nonconference home games except Iowa State, are $17 for adults and $5 for youth and UI students. Everyone regardless of age must have a ticket for regular season men’s basketball games.

Public parking will be available in several lots surrounding Carver-Hawkeye Arena: Lot 75, Lot 65 (Finkbine Commuter) and Lot 43, both north and west of Kinnick Stadium. Fans with a reserved parking placard can park in their assigned location (Lot 40 or Lot 46). ADA parking is available in Lot 40 east of Carver-Hawkeye Arena, with overflow areas in Lot 46 and Lot 75. Doors to Carver-Hawkeye Arena will open 60 minutes prior to each home women’s basketball game this season.
