COLLEGE STATION, Texas — Three University of Iowa divers qualified for the 2016 NCAA Championships on Wednesday on the final day of the NCAA Zone D Diving Championships at Texas A&M’s Student Recreation Natatorium.
Senior Addison Boschult and junior Calli Head advanced to the NCAAs premiere meet for a second straight season, while junior Lydia Lehnert advanced to her first NCAA Championship appearance.
Boschult finished fifth off the platform in the men’s competition with a score of 346.60; Head was seventh in the women’s platform with a score of 289.65, and Lehnert was ninth with a score of 261.45.
Senior Andrew Hull was on the cusp of advancing to the NCAAs, entering the finals in eighth place. He finished 12th with a 304.20, while freshman Will Brenner was 16th with a 251.80.
The NCAA Championships will take place later this month with the women’s championship going from March 17-20 and the men’s from March 24-27. Both will be in Atlanta.
