COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Freshman Will Brenner made his finals debut with the University of Iowa diving team at the 2016 NCAA Zone D Diving Championships on Tuesday during the second night at the Student Recreation Natatorium.
Brenner moved on to the finals with a ninth place finish off the 1-meter in the prelims with a score of 334.05 before posting a score of 328.40 in the finals to place 11th overall.
Senior Addison Boschult and junior Brandis Heffner also made showings in the finals of the 1-meter. Boschult finished in 16th (295.65) and Heffner finished 18th (293.05).
On the women’s side, two Hawkeyes competed on the 3-meter springboard along side 52 talented divers. Junior Lydia Lehnert led the Hawkeyes finishing with a score of 263.80, a 28th place finish.
The Hawkeyes return to action tomorrow at 11 a.m. (CT) with the men and women competing off the platform.
