IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa rowing team travels to Bloomington, Indiana, this weekend for a scrimmage with Big Ten schools Indiana and Wisconsin. Five Hawkeye crews will travel to Lake Lemon, including three Varsity 8+ crews and two Novice 8+’s.

The crews will race two 4,000-meter time-trials starting Friday at 4 p.m. (CT). Saturday racing begins at 7:30 a.m. and consists of four 1,000-meter head-to-head sprint trials.

This weekend’s exhibition is Iowa’s second of the fall season. The Hawkeyes hosted North Park University in a novice exhibition on the Iowa River on Sept. 24. They return to the water Oct. 22-23 at the Head of Charles Regatta in Boston, Massachusetts, and Oct. 23 at the Jayhawk Jamboree in Lawrence, Kansas.
