IOWA CITY, Iowa — The University of Iowa women’s rowing team has released its 2018-19 schedule, UI head coach Andrew Carter announced. The schedule features matchups against Big Ten, Big-12, ACC, Pac-12, and Ivy League foes.
Iowa kicks off its season with four events this fall, beginning with a two-day scrimmage with Indiana and Wisconsin on Sept. 28-29.
The Hawkeyes will once again participate in the 54th Head of the Charles Regatta in Boston, Mass., on Oct. 20-21. Following the Head of the Charles, Iowa will participate in its last fall event against the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kan., on Oct. 21.
Iowa will start its spring competitions with a scrimmage against Old Dominion University and Southern Methodist University in New Braunsfels, Texas, on Feb. 14.
The Hawkeyes will compete in their lone home competition of the season with a Big Ten showdown against Minnesota and Wisconsin on Apr. 13. The following week the Hawkeyes will face Harvard and Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island.
Iowa will conclude its regular season at the Longhorn Invitational in Austin, Texas, on Apr. 27.
The postseason begins with the Big Ten Championships on May 19 in Devils Lake, Wisconsin. The NCAA Championships are slated for May 31-Jun. 2 in Indianapolis, Ind.
