THIS WEEK:
The 23rd-ranked University of Iowa men’s tennis team will travel out West to square off against Utah at 2 p.m. (MT) on Friday and No. 35 Denver at 11 a.m. (MT) on Sunday.

LAST TIME OUT:
•  The Hawkeyes notched their seventh consecutive victory with back-to-back wins over Middle Tennessee (4-2) and Wichita State (4-2) over the weekend at the Hawkeye Tennis & Recreation Complex. 

UTAH BREAKDOWN:
•  The Utes enter this week’s action with a 7-4 record after dropping consecutive matches against Denver (4-3) and New Mexico (4-3).  
•  Head Coach Roeland Brateanu is in his sixth season with the Utes and is a three-time ITA Mountain Region Coach of the Year (2017, 2018, and 2019). 
•   Iowa is 3-1 all-time against Utah, beating the Utes last season in Iowa City (5-2).

DENVER BREAKDOWN:
•  The Pioneers enter this week a perfect 8-0 and will play Colorado State-Pueblo on Friday before hosting Iowa on Sunday.
•   Iowa has won three straight against Denver, last beating the Pioneers in 2018, in Iowa City (5-2). 

HAWKEYE NOTABLES:
•   Redshirt senior Kareem Allaf is ranked a personal-best No. 53 in the country. 
•   Will Davies and Oliver Okonkwo are ranked 10th nationally in doubles; it’s the highest ranking of any Hawkeye tandem ever.
•   Allaf owns the third most singles wins in a program history (80). 
•   Allaf passed Bart Van Monsjou for second place in school history with 136 combined singles and doubles victories. 
•   Two Hawkeyes own six or more singles wins singles (Allaf and Davies). 
•   Allaf and Davies are one doubles victory from cracking Iowa’s career Top 10 list. 
•   The Hawkeyes are coming off one of its best seasons in 20 years, finishing fifth in the Big Ten and knocking off three ranked Big Ten foes.

Ross Wilson, a former two-time NCAA All-American and three-time ITA national doubles champion at Ohio State, is in his sixth season as head coach and seventh year with the Iowa men’s tennis program.
