Major League Draft League

Cam Baumann | West Virginia Black Bears

Pitching in the MLB Draft League, southpaw Cam Baumann went 2-0 with a 1.05 ERA in four starts. He allowed five runs over 19 innings and had 12 strikeouts to four walks. Baumann posted a 2.37 WHIP and limited hitters to a .239 average.

Appalachian League

Tyson James | Bluefield Ridge Runners

Sophomore Tyson James went 0-3 with a 10.47 ERA in eight appearances, including seven starts, for the Ridge Runners. James logged 16 1/3 innings, allowing 25 runs (19 earned) on 24 hits with 16 strikeouts.

Michael Seegers | Bluefield Ridge Runners

Sophomore Michael Seegers was an Appalachian League All-Star Game selection in 2021, where he started at shortstop for the East team. The infielder finished third on Bluefield (among qualified hitters) with a .295 average after collecting 44 hits (four 2B, two 3B) and scoring 33 runs and driving in 10 runs in 40 games. Seegers had 12 multi-hit games (10 two-hit, two three-hit) and had a team-best 14-game hitting streak during the season. He finished the year on an 18-game reached base streak. The Wisconsin native was a force on the base paths, swiping a team-high 26 bases (in 29 attempts) and he had just 28 strikeouts in 149 at-bats. Bluefield finished 27-25 overall.

Northwoods League

Duncan Davitt | Waterloo Bucks

Junior Duncan Davitt has made 10 starts for the Waterloo Bucks, where he went 4-2 with a 3.26 ERA. The right-hander has allowed 20 runs (18 earned) on 46 hits over 49 2/3 innings and he has 53 strikeouts to 21 walks. Davitt has pitched at least five innings in eight of his 10 starts and limited opponents to a .250 average. The Bucks, who are leading the Great Plains East Division, close out the regular season Aug. 14.

Ben Beutel | Waterloo Bucks

Redshirt senior Ben Beutel pitched in one game for the Waterloo Bucks, striking out two of the four batters he faced. He had a 0.00 ERA in one inning pitched.

Brendan Sher | Lakeshore Chinooks

Junior Brendan Sher posted a .277 average (13-of-47) in 17 games for the Lakeshore Chinooks. The infielder had two doubles and one triple and drove in seven runs. His final game for the Chinooks was July 8.

Jacob Henderson | Lakeshore Chinooks

Redshirt sophomore Jacob Henderson went 1-2 with a 1.93 ERA as a reliever in the Chinooks’ bullpen. The right-hander allowed seven runs (four earned) on 15 hits over 18 2/3 innings in 12 appearances where he had 17 strikeouts to seven walks. Henderson limited opposing hitters to a .231 average. His final game with Lakeside was July 18.

Prospects League

Izaya Fullard | Clinton LumberKings

Redshirt senior Izaya Fullard hit a team-leading .338 for the LumberKings. The infielder had 27 hits in 80 at-bats with five doubles, two triples, and four home runs, while scoring 16 runs and driving in 22. Fullard had 10 multi-hit games this season and he hit safely in 16 of 21 games. Fullard helped Clinton to the West Conference Championship Game.

Brett McCleary | Clinton LumberKings

Redshirt senior Brett McCleary hit .307 in 50 games for the LumberKings where he had 52 hits, including five doubles and five home runs. The Iowa City native had a team-best 33 RBIs and scored 23 runs. He also had 26 walks (to 25 strikeouts) in 170 at-bats. McCleary helped Clinton to the West Conference Championship Game.

Anthony Mangano | Clinton LumberKings

Sophomore Anthony Mangano hit .306 in 41 games for Clinton, collecting 38 hits (five doubles, two triples, one home run). The outfielder had 25 RBIs – second most on the team – and scored 29 runs in helping lead the LumberKings to the West Conference Championship Game. Mangano had 13 multi-hit games, including a 4-for-5, six RBI game on July 24 against Illinois Valley.

Brayden Frazier | Clinton LumberKings

Redshirt junior Brayden Frazier hit .234 in 33 games for the LumberKings. The Cedar Rapids, Iowa, native had seven doubles and drove in 11 runs in helping Clinton reach the West Conference Championship Game. In the playoffs, Frazier went 2-for-4 with a double.

Casey Day | Clinton LumberKings

Incoming Hawkeye Casey Day went 1-0 with a 3.68 ERA in 16 appearances for Clinton in 2021. The Wichita State transfer struck out 14 over 14 2/3 innings and recorded five saves.

Alec Nigut | Alton River Dragons

Redshirt freshman Alec Nigut hit .157 in 51 games for the River Dragons. The Des Moines, Iowa, native had 24 hits in 153 at-bats with seven doubles, two triples and four home runs. Nigut, who missed the 2021 Iowa season because of injury, had 18 RBIs and 27 runs scored. He also made two starts on the mound, going 0-1 with a 27.00 ERA.

Andy Nelson | Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp

Sophomore Andy Nelson hit .310 in 40 games for the Pistol Shrimp, collecting 44 hits in 142 at-bats. The infielder had 17 extra base hits, including 10 home runs, five doubles and two triples and he finished with 33 RBIs and 36 runs scored. Nelson, who also swiped 17 bases, had 17 multi-hit games on the season.

Sam Link | Illinois Valley Pistol Shrimp

Redshirt sophomore Sam Link hit .292 in 29 games for Illinois Valley. The infielder had 26 hits, including two doubles, and scored 13 runs, while driving in 10. Link had six multi-hit games on the season and he hit safely in 18 contests.

Coastal Plains League

Keaton Anthony | Macon Bacon

Sophomore Keaton Anthony hit .302 in 22 games for the Macon Bacon in the Coastal Plains League. The Georgia native had 19 hits in 63 at-bats with three doubles, one home run, seven RBIs and 14 runs scored. He also made two appearances on the mound, posting a 7.32 ERA over 3 2/3 innings.
