THIS WEEK
The University of Iowa women’s golf team heads to the Sunshine State to compete in the Momentum Transportation UNF Collegiate. The 54-hole tournament will be held from March 4-5 at Jacksonville Golf and Country Club (par 72, 6,015 yards) in Jacksonville, Florida. Action begins with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. (CT).

The Hawkeyes’ lineup includes: sophomore Madison Dabagia, junior Paula Miranda, sophomore Riley Lewis, sophomore Kaitlyn Hanna and freshman Ximena Benites.

THE COURSE
Jacksonville Golf & Country Club is a captivating and picturesque destination off the Northeast Coast of Florida. This course is enveloped by abundent tree cover, serene freshwater lakes and thriving wild-life. It was named one of the finest private country clubs in Florida. This 6,015-yard, par-72 course is home to the Florida Mid-Amateur Golf Championship, U.S. Amateur Qualifying Match and the Professionals Match Play Championship.
LAST MEET
Iowa wrapped up a record-breaking weekend at the Westbrook Spring Invitational at the Westbrook Village Golf Club on Feb. 26. The Hawkeyes finished with team 18, 36 and 54-hole school records. Iowa broke the single round records in consecutive rounds, including shooting a final round 279 (-9) to finish with a 54-hole school record of 847 (288-280-279). It shattered the previous record of 864 set in 2015.
• Sophomore Madison Dabagia and junior Paula Miranda broke the 54-hole individual record, firing seven-under par 209s.
LAST SEASON IN JACKSONVILLE
The Hawkeyes tied for 10th last spring at the Momentum Transportation UNF Collegiate Invitational, firing an 890 over 54 holes (299-290-301). Riley Lewis was the top individual finisher, tying for 13th place with a 218 (74-67-77), which was a career-low.
OF NOTE…
• Sophomore Madison Dabagia has a team-best 72.80 scoring average over 15 rounds. She averages a team-best 3.13 birdies per round. The Indiana native has two top-20 finishes to lead the team.
• Junior Paula Miranda finished in the red in all three rounds at the Westbrook Spring Invitational, giving her six rounds at or below par this spring. Miranda currently has a 73.80 scoring average, which is a career-best.
• Sophomore Kaitlyn Hanna had a career-low score of 216 (E) at the Westbrook. The Omaha native has a 73.00 scoring average with a team-best seven rounds at or below par this spring.
• The Hawkeyes have 19 sub-par and 12 even par rounds, individually, this season.
