IOWA CITY, Iowa – Eight University of Iowa track and field student-athletes were named Academic All-District honorees by the College Sports Communicators, the association announced on Tuesday.
On the women’s side, seniors Mariel Bruxvoort, Ali Dorn and Jamie Kofron received the honor. Sophomore Lia Love earned the distinction for the first time.
Seniors Grant Conway, Gratt Reed and Austin West, along with sophomore Ryan Schreiner, represented the Hawkeyes from the men’s side.
To be eligible for the award, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically. Additionally, a minimum 3.50 cumulative GPA is required. For track and field, eligible nominees are based off TFRRS performance list rankings and must have placed in the top 50 as an individual of their respective event.
