IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa women’s tennis team released its complete schedule for the 2024-25 season, it was announced Tuesday by head coach Sasha Boros-Schmid. The Hawkeyes will host the Hawkeye Invitational in the fall and 10 spring duals at the Hawkeye Tennis and Recreation Center.
SCHEDULE NOTES
- Iowa has six dates on the fall schedule, opening the season at the ITA All-American Championships from Sept. 21-29. The team will play in two additional ITA events in mid-October and November.
- Iowa will host the Hawkeye Invitational on Nov. 1-3 before heading to the ITA Sectional Championships and closing out the fall at the NCAA Singles and Doubles tournament.
- During the spring season, the Hawkeyes will face five opponents that qualified for the 2024 NCAA Tournament — Illinois, Northwestern, Wisconsin, Washington and UCLA. The Bruins advanced to the Elite 8.
- Iowa’s spring opener is set for Jan. 20 against Illinois State, while the Big Ten opener will be played March 8 at home against Michigan State.
- The 2025 Big Ten Tournament will be held in Ojai, California, from April 23-27.
Iowa returns six letterwinners for the 2024-25 season and welcomes South Alabama transfer Tereza Dejnozkova.
