CARY, N.C. –The University of Iowa women’s tennis team extended its run at the ITA Women’s All-American Championships, competing in both singles and doubles play on Monday at Cary Tennis Park.
In singles action, junior Daianne Hayashida faced a tough opponent, falling to Imogen Haddad of Southern California, 6-4, 6-0, in the Main Draw.
The Hawkeyes also saw action in doubles, where Barbora Pokorna and Tereza Dejnozkova were fell to Southern California’s Emma Charney and Imogen Haddad, 6-2, 6-0, in Round of 32.
Iowa will conclude its play in the consolation bracket on Tuesday before returning to competition at the Husky Invitational in Seattle, Washington, from October 4-6.
