IOWA CITY, Iowa – Three University of Iowa women’s tennis student-athletes – senior Barbora Pokorna, junior Nikita Vishwase and sophomore Jessica Matthews – will compete at the Spartan Invite from Friday through Sunday at the MSU Tennis Center in East Lansing, Michigan.
The trio will compete in both singles and doubles matches throughout the weekend against opponents from Michigan State, Northwestern, Ohio State, DePaul, Ball State, Butler and Eastern Michigan.
“It has been a great fall,” said Iowa head coach Sasha Boros-Schmid. “I’ve seen a lot of growth and development in each of our players. It’s great for Barbora, Nikita and Jessica to get one more chance to compete and test themselves against good competition at Michigan State. We’re looking forward to having a great weekend.”
