IOWA CITY, Iowa — Three University of Iowa women’s tennis student-athletes will head to Ann Arbor, Michigan, to compete at the ITA Sectional Championships from Nov. 7-10.
Juniors Tereza Dejnozkova and Daianne Hayashida, and senior Marisa Schmidt will compete in the singles bracket. Hayashida and Schmidt will also pair up to compete in doubles, beginning Thursday.
“It has been an exciting fall, going through the first season of having our NCAA singles and doubles championships during the fall season,” said head coach Sasha Boros-Schmid. “Sectionals is our final opportunity to have players qualify for NCAA singles and doubles. Our players are excited and honored by this opportunity to compete against the best players in our section.”
