The Hawkeyes posted a shutout in the first half leading Missouri State, 1-0, at the break.

HEAR FROM HEAD COACH DAVE DIIANNI
“We thought Missouri State was going to try to press us a little bit and they did. The space between their backline and midfield we thought would be available and it was. I thought Maya Hansen and Sophia Bush played really well. Kenzie Roling was a handful in the first half. That might’ve been the best I’ve seen Meike Ingles play. They press really well and that creates separation and we wanted to play in that space; I thought we did a good job in that space. We created some great chances and their goalkeeper made some great saves.”
