IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa baseball team heads to Peoria, Illinois, on Tuesday for a midweek matchup with Bradley at 6 p.m. (CDT). Admission is $5.
The Hawkeyes enter the contest with a 17-9 overall record, while the Braves sit at 3-20 on the season.
As a team, Bradley is hitting .249, and its pitching staff has a 10.95 ERA. Mason Breidenbach leads the offense, hitting .337 with 16 RBIs. Timmy O'Brien leads the team with six home runs.
Overall, the Hawkeyes are hitting .318 with 39 home runs. The Iowa pitching staff has a 3.93 ERA. Aaron Savary and Reece Beuter each hold 4-0 records this season, while Cade Obermueller leads the pitching staff with a 2.95 ERA in seven starts.
Redshirt sophomore Reese Moore leads the team with a .385 batting average and 30 RBIs followed by junior Gable Mitchell with a .380 and 41 hits. Moore leads the team with nine home runs and 72 total bases.
Iowa leads the all-time series against Bradley, 49-42-2. The two teams first met in 1930, with Iowa squeezing out a 3-2 victory. The Hawkeyes have won five straight against the Braves, including the most recent matchup, 11-6, on April 17, 2024.
