The University of Iowa women’s golf team heads to Johns Island, South Carolina, to compete at the Briars Creek Invitational on March 10-11. The 36-hole tournament, hosted by the College of Charleston, will be played at the Golf Club at Briars Creek (Par 72, 6,152 yards) with tee times beginning at 8:30 a.m. (CT) on Monday.

THE LINEUP
Iowa’s lineup includes senior Paula Miranda, junior Riley Lewis, sophomore Ximena Benites, sophomore Maura Peters and freshman Lily Huether.

THE COURSE
The Golf Club at Briars Creek opened in 2001. Overlooking the Briars Creek and Kiawah River, the course embraces the landscape and vegetation of Johns Island. Designed by Rees Jones, the course blends together golf and the natural environment with water, marshes, wetlands and wildlife all around.
