Hawkeyes Host Bradley on Wednesday

IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa baseball team welcomes Bradley to Duane Banks Field on Wednesday for a midweek matchup. First pitch is set for 6:02 p.m. (CDT), and admission is $5.

The Hawkeyes enter the contest with a 23-11 record, while the Braves sit at 5-26 on the season. 

As a team, Bradley is hitting .238, and its pitching staff has a 9.70 ERA. Mason Breidenbach leads the offense, hitting .330 with nine extra base hits. Timmy O'Brien leads the team with 10 home runs and 23 RBIs.

Travis Lutz heads the Braves pitching staff with 41.1 innings of work and an 8.27 ERA.

Overall, the Hawkeyes are hitting .310 with 42 home runs. Gable Mitchell leads Iowa with a .364 batting average and 13 doubles. Reese Moore leads the offense with nine home runs and a .694 slugging percentage, while Miles Risley has batted in a team-high 35 runs. 

The Iowa pitching staff has a Big Ten-leading 3.70 ERA. LHP Cade Obermueller leads the charge with a 2.18 ERA over 53 2/3 innings of work. He leads the Hawkeyes with 76 strikeouts and has allowed just 13 earned runs this season. RHP Aaron Savary is 5-0 in nine starts this season.
