Tavion Banks Signs With Hawkeyes

Drake transfer Tavion Banks has signed a scholarship agreement with the University of Iowa men’s basketball team, it was announced Friday by head coach Ben McCollum.

IOWA CITY, Iowa – Drake transfer Tavion Banks has signed a scholarship agreement with the University of Iowa men’s basketball team, it was announced Friday by head coach Ben McCollum.

The guard/forward, who has one year of eligibility remaining, is the fifth player from Drake to officially sign with the Hawkeyes, joining Bennett StirtzKael Combs, Cam Manyawu and Isaia Howard

All five played under McCollum during the 2024-25 season, helping the Bulldogs to a 31-win season, a Missouri Valley Conference regular season and tournament title and to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
