IOWA CITY, Iowa – The University of Iowa rowing head coach Jeff Garbutt announced the addition of 23 student-athletes on Tuesday.

“We are pretty excited about the athleticism that we have seen out of our rookie rowers. They have worked super hard these past couple of weeks and are constantly improving day-to-day,” said Garbutt. “We are eager to see what this group will be able to accomplish this year.”
The 23 student-athletes named on Tuesday went through the tryout process and made the team. The new Hawkeyes will get their first experience of racing at the Iowa Chase on Saturday, Nov. 1.
