Ethan Harris Signs With Iowa Hoops

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Ethan Harris has signed a scholarship agreement with the University of Iowa men’s basketball program, it was announced Wednesday by head coach Ben McCollum.

The Camas, Washington, native is rated as a four-star recruit and as the No. 65 overall recruit in the Class of 2026.  He is the top-ranked player in the state of Washington according to 247Sports Composite. 

“I chose the University of Iowa for the coaches, culture and player development,” said Harris. “When I visited campus, talked with the coaching staff and met the players, I knew it was the perfect fit.”

Harris is the first member of Iowa’s 2026 recruiting class.

“Ethan is the definition of the type of player we are looking for to build the Hawkeye culture,” said McCollum. “He’s super competitive, has great versatility, can play a guard position and go inside if need be.  We’re excited about the future with Ethan.”

• Averaged 18.8 points, 8.1 rebounds and three assists per game
• During a win over Portland’s Roosevelt High School, Harris had 25 points, seven blocks, six rebounds, five assists and five steals to join the 5x5 club
• Finished with 32 points (29 in the first half), 12 rebounds, nine steals, seven blocks and four assists in leading the Papermakers to a win over Skyview
• Played club ball for Select Basketball on the PRO16 (Puma) circuit, averaging 10.3 points, 7.1 rebounds, 2.1 blocks and 1.4 steals… shot 38 percent from 3-point range
