QUOTING KIRK FERENTZ

"Obviously, we’re really pleased with the win. First and foremost, we’re just happy for our players. They have been great and I’m extremely proud of our whole team with the way they have performed, not only today, but going back to January. It’s been 11 months since we started this thing, and they have been great at every turn to work with. I really appreciate that. It’s a long road and there are only 12 guaranteed chances to compete. There’s a lot of work that goes into it. It’s been easy to work with these guys.

I’m proud of how they competed, how they fought and how they responded no matter what went on during the course of the games. To me, today’s game is representative of the kind of guys that we have on this football team, and they understand what it means to go out and fight and compete for the full 60 minutes. The nicest thing about this is that the players can enjoy it and feel good about what they’ve done, not only today, but for this entire season. It’s a good feeling when the players can go home and feel good about what they’ve been doing, and these guys have earned that."
