IOWA CITY, Iowa — Head coach Tyler Stith announced the University of Iowa men’s golf team 2026 spring schedule on Monday.
The Hawkeyes open the spring on February 2 at the annual Black & Gold Alumni Challenge in Jupiter, Florida. Iowa then travels to the Caribbean for its first full tournament of the season, competing in the Puerto Rico Classic from Feb. 9-11 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The Hawkeyes will make their seventh appearance at the event after debuting in 2019.
Iowa then heads to Bluffton, South Carolina, for the Colleton River Collegiate on March 1-2, marking the program’s fifth appearance at the event. The Hawkeyes won the team title in 2021. The month continues with a trip to Eugene, Oregon for the Duck Invitational on March 23-24.
Iowa returns to Florida in early April to host a premier national field at the Calusa Cup, held April 5-7 in Naples. This year marks the sixth consecutive season that the Hawkeyes will host the event at Calusa Pines Golf Club. The regular season concludes at home as Iowa hosts the 32nd edition of the Hawkeye Invitational on April 20–21 at Blue Top Ridge in Riverside, Iowa. The Hawkeyes enter the event seeking their 18th tournament championship in its history.
In the fall, junior Max Tjoa posted three straight under-par finishes, including a runner-up showing at the Fighting Irish Classic with a hole-in-one and a career-low 65. Redshirt freshman Grant Gudgel added his first career top-10 at the Moraine Intercollegiate, shooting six-under, and counted in every round. As a team, Iowa finished ahead of several Big Ten foes, including Indiana, Penn State, Ohio State, and Michigan.
