IOWA CITY, Iowa – No. 11 Iowa (10-1) rolled past Lindenwood (7-3) on Saturday afternoon inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena, 102-68.
Senior Hannah Stuelke powered the Hawkeyes with a season-high 31 points, six rebounds, and three steals, shooting 13-for-18 from the field. Sophomore Ava Heiden was flawless from the floor, going 7-for-7 for 14 points and adding four assists. Layla Hays chipped in 11 points and five rebounds off the bench, while Journey Houston added 10 points and six boards.
Iowa jumped out early, leading 24-15 after the first quarter, fueled by Stuelke’s 11 points and three team steals. The Hawkeyes forced six turnovers in the opening frame and converted them into seven points.
Iowa pushed ahead 50-34 at halftime behind 11-for-21 shooting, nine second-chance points, and eight more from Stuelke. Six Hawkeyes scored in the period, while the defense forced five turnovers and grabbed three steals to keep Lindenwood off balance.
In the third, Iowa’s bench contributed 11 points, and the team dominated the paint with 12 points inside. Heiden accounted for six of those, maintaining her perfect shooting streak. Iowa outscored Lindenwood 22-15 to push the margin to 72-49 heading into the fourth.
