4 Hawkeyes Named CSC Academic All-District

IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa volleyball student-athletes Claire Ammeraal, Jaimie Marquardt, Aleksandra Stojanovic and Alyssa Worden were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team, the CSC announced on Tuesday morning.

IOWA CITY, Iowa – University of Iowa volleyball student-athletes Claire Ammeraal, Jaimie Marquardt, Aleksandra Stojanovic and Alyssa Worden were named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District team, the CSC announced on Tuesday morning.

To be eligible for recognition, student-athletes must be at least a sophomore academically and athletically and have a 3.50 grade point average or above. Athletically, nominees must have competed in 90 percent or started in at least 66 percent of the team’s matches.

Ammeraal, a senior setter from Madison, Wisconsin, started all 32 matches for the Hawkeyes in 2025. She was a first team AVCA all-Central Region selection and second team all-B1G honoree. Ammeraal finished second in the Big Ten with 1,190 assists and contributed 179 kills. Her 12 double-doubles were the third-most in the conference. Adding to her list of academic accolades, Ammeraal was named to the Academic All-B1G list last week. Ammeraal was drafted 22nd overall in the 2025 MLV Draft by the Omaha Supernovas.

Marquardt, a sophomore defensive specialist from Libertyville, Illinois, played in all 32 contests this season. She finished third on the team with 192 digs and averaged 1.50 digs per set. Marquardt was Iowa’s most effective threat from the service line, leading the team with 35 aces. She added 45 assists during the 2025 season. After nearly doubling her playing time as a sophomore, Marquardt posted career highs in three categories. She had 14 digs against No. 25 Penn State, six assists versus Utah Tech and four aces against Rutgers. Marquardt was a 2025 Academic All-B1G honoree.

Stojanovic started 30 matches as a sophomore middle hitter this season and tallied 161 kills, 88 blocks and 19 aces. The Belgrade, Serbia, native led the Hawkeyes with a .370 hitting percentage. Stojanovic recorded career highs in kills against Utah Tech (13), hitting percentage (.875) against Weber State and blocks (7) against Northwestern. She was an Academic All-B1G selection.

Worden appeared in 31 matches and made 22 starts as a redshirt sophomore outside hitter. The Bartlett, Illinois, native recorded 199 kills, 166 digs, 26 blocks and 25 aces in 2025. In the season finale, Worden smacked a career-high 17 kills against No. 25 Penn State. Against Michigan State, she set a career best with 15 digs. Worden also earned Academic All-B1G honors.
