8 Hawkeyes Earn CSC Academic All-District Honors

IOWA CITY, Iowa -- Eight University of Iowa football student-athletes were named College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District selections, it was announced Tuesday by the association.

The Hawkeye honorees include junior Jack Dotzler (3.78, finance), senior Gennings Dunker (3.59, human physiology), sophomore Bryce Hawthorne (3.92, elementary education), graduate Mark Gronowski (3.67, non-departmental), sophomore Zach Lutmer (3.57, exercise science), graduate Jaxon Rexroth (3.50, interdepartmental studies), junior Jayden Montgomery (3.89, enterprise leadership) and senior Jonah Pace (3.53, interdepartmental studies).

Dunker and Gronowski have earned CSC Academic All-District accolades three times, while Lutmer and Rexroth are two-time recipients of the award.

Dunker, Gronowski and Lutmer are CSC Academic All-America finalists. The trio of Hawkeyes will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members. First-, second- and third-team Academic All-America honorees will be announced on Jan. 27, 2026.

To be eligible, a student-athlete must have a 3.50 grade point average or higher and have one year completed in college. On the field, student-athletes must have played in 90 percent or started 66 percent of the total games played.
