2004 — Indoor – redshirted… Outdoor – regional qualifier in shot put… placed 10th in shot (55-2 1/4) at Big Ten meet… placed 11th in shot put at Drake Relays (54-0) and 15th at NCAA regional (54-2)… letterwinner.

High School — two-time state shot put champion, winning two titles at Drake Relays and Midwest High School meet… two-time elite all-state in track, captaining the shot put team as a senior… three-time conference shot put champion, winning conference discus title senior year… set conference (60-8 3/4) and school (63-2) shot put records… his best shot put (63-2) ranked him fourth in the nation indoors in 2003… placed third in discus at state meet senior year with a personal-best 168-11… lettered four years in track… coaches were Keven Besch and Jeff Brennen.
