2009 — Indoor – did not compete… Outdoor – placed second in javelin at Tiger Track Classic with a team-leading, regional-qualifying and collegiate-best throw of 206-3… that mark ranks third all-time at Iowa… won javelin at Illinois Invite (188-3), and placed third at Drake Relays (204-8), 10th at Big Ten Championships (187-0) and 17th at NCAA Midwest Regional (194-8)… placed fifth in hammer throw at Lee Calhoun Memorial (152-9) and seventh at Messersmith Invite (150-9)… academic all-Big Ten… letterwinner.
2008 — Track – redshirted.
2006-07 — led team in shot put and javelin at West Chester University… placed fifth at 2007 PSAC indoor meet with a collegiate-best 51-6 in shot put.
High School – all-state and all-district in shot put… placed eighth at outdoor state meet in shot (51-3)… best javelin throw is 172-2… lettered twice in football.
Personal — born September 17, 1986… son of Eric and Nadine Schimp… transferred from West Chester University… health promotions major.
