Madison, WI – The University of Iowa men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams fell to Wisconsin Saturday, the men by a score of 172 to 115, and the women by a score of 197 to 84.
Iowa’s Timo Klami won the men’s one and three-meter diving events. Klami posted a score of 358.28 in the one-meter, and 328.65 in the three-meter. Wisconsin’s Michael Slutskiy finished second in both events with scores of 215.85 in the one-meter, and 190.43 in the three-meter.
Konrad Kazmierczak placed second in the 100-free with a time of 47.01, and third in the 50-free with a time of 21.64. Sophomore Kevin Velleca finished second in the 100-back by posting a time of 51.19, and third in the 100-free with a time of 47.60. Elliot Ptasnik won the 200-breast by posting a 2:06.68. Joe Lureau was second with a 2:09.84, and Cal Shelangoski was third with a 2:10.66.
Jennifer Skolaski placed second in the 200-back, and 200-IM, and was third in the 100-back. Katelyn Eustis, Erica Noah, and Joyce VanKeulen scored points for the Hawkeyes in the 500-free.
