The Iowa women’s tennis team won three singles matches and two doubles matches against Northwestern in mock dual competition at the Badger Blast Tournament. Freshmen Hilary Tyler and Hilde Jansma brought Iowa its first victory with an 8-6 decision over Kristi Roemer and Georgie Wolffer. The duo of Hillary Mintz and Meg Racette easily defeated Alexis Prousis and Jamie Peisel, 8-2.
In singles play, Jansma won against Wolffer, 6-1, 6-2. Racette battled for a victory over Peisel, 6-2, 2-6, 6-4, and Mintz came from behind to win over Yung, 4-6, 6-4, 6-4.
This concludes the Hawkeye women’s tennis fall competition.
