When did you start playing volleyball?
“When I was in seventh grade.”

What is your favorite volleyball-related memory?
“Making it to the Sweet 16 my senior year of high school.”

What was your most embarrassing moment on the court?
“In junior high, when I was growing out my bangs, the referees wouldn’t let me clip them back with a metal clip so I had to wear them in their own little ponytail that stuck straight up on the top of my head.”

Lingris posted a career-high nine digs against Northwestern.

What would you be doing if you weren’t playing college volleyball?
“Probably a lot more studying.”

While on the road, how do you like to spend your spare time?
“Sleeping.”

What is the best part about being a student-athlete at Iowa? The toughest part?
“The best is the great experiences and opportunities that become available to you. The toughest is balancing your life and making sure all aspects are in order.”

What has surprised you most about the University of Iowa?
“The fact that a school this big could have so many great extensions that allow students to really interact with teachers and counselors and discover beneficial programs and opportunities.”

When you were little, what did you pretend to be?
“A Ballerina.”

What is the best advice you’ve ever been given?
“To never stop believing in yourself, never forget who you really are and never let anyone take that away from you.”

What activities/hobbies do you do in your spare time or in the off- season?
“My sorority (Delta Gamma) philanthropies and activities and spend time with friends.”
