The Iowa women’s tennis team defeated Northern Iowa, 7-0, during the second day of the Hawkeye Invitational.

In doubles, Chelsea Glynn and Deni Alexandrova easily defeated Korkoi Quaye and Agenese Pukse, 8-0. The duo of Jennifer Hodgman and Hilary Tyler won against Kelly Maifield and Marcia Willis, 8-1. Meg Racette and Hillary Mintz also won their match against Jaime Noyce and Meredith Esbeck, 8-3. In singles matches, Jennifer Hodgman swept Meredith Esbeck, 6-0, 6-0.

Iowa will continue the Hawkeye Invitational tomorrow against Northern Illinois beginning at 10 a.m.
