COLUMBUS, OH – The University of Iowa women’s swimming and diving team lost to Ohio State 126.5-225.5 and then fell to Illinois 134-215.
Leading the way for the Hawkeyes was junior Jennifer Skolaski. Skolaski came away with a victory in the 100 yard backstroke. She also added fourth place finishes in the 500 yard freestyle and 200 individual medley, as well as a second place finish in the 1,000 yard freestyle. Sophomore Kelly Werner also tied for first in the 200 yard backstroke with a time of 2:04.44.
The Hawkeyes’ next competition is next Saturday in Evanston, IL against Northwestern. The meet is scheduled to start at 1 p.m.
