Hawkeyes Seventh After Day Two

MINNEAPOLIS, MN — The University of Iowa women’s swimming and diving team is currently in seventh place after day two at the 2004 Big Ten Championships.

Iowa’s Abby Van Maaren, Katie Haeger, Katie Martin, and Emmy Heager placed tenth in the 200-free relay. Their finals time of 1:33.95 shaved more than two seconds off their prelim time of 1:36.11. Junior Jennifer Skolaski placed 11th in the 500-free event with a time of 4:49.72, five seconds better than her season best of 4:55.77.

Tomorrow’s preliminaries will start at 11 a.m., and the finals at 7 p.m.
