Columbia, MO – The University of Iowa women’s soccer team was defeated by Missouri 1-0 on Sunday at the Audrey J. Walton Track-Soccer Field Stadium. The Tigers blasted 29 shots at the Hawkeyes, 11 of which were on goal. Jennifer Nobis scored a goal for the fourth consecutive game in the 87th minute off a corner kick from Karen Bauer to register the only goal of the game. Junior Katelyn Quinn recorded two shots on the day, one of which was on goal. Senior Kitty Montgomery recorded Iowa’s other shot on goal. Senior Britta Vogele had another solid effort in goal, recording nine saves on the day. Iowa travels to Des Moines on Friday to face Drake at 7 p.m. The Hawkeyes home opener is Sunday against UW-Green Bay. Match time is set for 1 p.m.
