The University of Iowa women’s tennis team continued their strong showing at the ITA Midwest Regional on Saturday, with both doubles teams qualifying for the next round of competition. Milica Veselinovic and Anastasia Zhukova along with Hillary Mintz and Megan Racette will play in doubles round of 16.
Veselinovic and Zhukova won their opening match in the first round, 8-4. The team came out on fire in the second round, winning their match 8-1. Mintz and Racette had a bye in the first round and won their opening match in the second round of doubles play, 8-1.
The Hawkeyes will continue competition at the ITA Regional on Saturday with the first and second round of main draw singles, along with the round of 16 doubles.
