MINNEAPOLIS, MN – The Iowa GymHawks scored a season-high 195.425, but it wasn’t enough to upset No. 19 Minnesota, who tallied a 195.775 for the win. The GymHawks scored season-highs of 48.95 on beam and 49.00 on floor as well.

Freshman Natalie Padilla scored a career-best 9.875 on vault to win the title. On beam, the GymHawks had a better team score than the Golden Gophers and swept the top four individual spots. Kortny Williamson won the event with a 9.85, while Danielle Legeai finished second (9.825) and Katie Burke and Liz Grajewski tied for third (9.8). Williamson and Grajewski tied the season-best score of 9.85 on floor to tie for fourth. Romina Mazzoni was the top GymHawk on bars, scoring a 9.8 to tie for third. In the all-around, Grajewski scored a season-best 39.075 to place second, and Padilla finished third (38.975).

Iowa will next compete Friday, March 4 at third-ranked Michigan.
