GymHawks Finish Sixth at NCAA Regionals

SALT LAKE CITY, UT –

The University of Iowa women’s gymnastics team finished sixth at the North Central Regional Championships with a score of 192.35. Top-ranked Utah won the meet with 13th-ranked BYU placing second, advancing both to the NCAA Championships.

Senior Annie Rue tied for seventh on bars, scoring a 9.8. Rue was the top GymHawk all-arounder, tying for ninth with a 38.9. Junior Liz Grajewski scored a 9.85 on floor to tie for ninth, while freshman Amanda Rudolph scored a career-high 9.8 to tie for 16th. On vault, Beth Dilick was the top GymHawk, tying for 22nd with a season-high 9.7. Danielle Legeai scored a 9.725 on beam to tie for 13th.

This concludes the 2005 season for the Iowa GymHawks.
