FAYETTEVILLE, AR — The University of Iowa women’s golf team finished in seventh place at their last tournament of the fall season at the 54-hole Lady Razorback Invitational Tuesday. Arkansas came in first on their home turf in the16-team tournament with a score of 876 (+12). The Hawkeyes carded a 917 (+53).
Junior Amy Riepma (Clear Lake, IA) came in 10th carding an eight over par 224. Freshman Tyrette Metzendorf (Winter Haven, FL) fired a 77 today to finish with a score of 225 (+9) in a tie for 12th. Junior Karla Murra (Sioux Falls, SD) fired 78 each round placing her in a tie for 41st carding an overall score of 234 (+18). Ashley Medders from Arkansas was the individual medalist, with a four under par 212.
This marked the last tournament for the Hawkeyes this fall. They return to action next March with the East/West Rio Verde Invitational.
