Hawks Finish Fourth In Memphis

MEMPHIS — The Iowa Men’s Golf team finished the final round of the Memphis Intercollegiate in fourth place. They finished the first two rounds at the par 72 Colonial Country Club shooting +22 as a team and carding a two round score of 598 which had them in ninth place after the first day. Today they shot a solid round of two-under-par 286 which helped them jump five spots for the tournament.

Freshman Cole Peevler (+3, T11th) led Iowa individually finishing the day with a score of three-over-par which put him in a tie for 11th place. This is the second consecutive tournament that Peevler has had the best finish for Iowa. Hawkeye golfers Todd Larson (+6, T22nd), Jon Feldick (+6, T22th) and Andy Tiedt (+6, T22nd) all finished in a tied for 22nd. Dan Holterhaus (+14, T52nd) also competed for Iowa finishing in a tie for 52nd.
