Hawkeyes Dominate Colorado State

FORT COLLINS, CO – The Iowa women’s tennis team, currently ranked #43, defeated Colorado State last night in Fort Collins. Iowa won all but one match in the competition.

In doubles play, Meg Racette and Jacqueline Lee defeated Anne Andersen and Emily Kirchem, 8-5, while Hillary Mintz and Milica Veselinovic defeated Jasmin Singh and Lauren Strasburger, 8-1. In addition, Krissy Dowlin and Kayla Berry defeated Jessica Jones and Greer Satherlie, 8-3.

Notable singles wins include Hillary Mintz over Anne Andersen, 6-1, 6-2, Milica Veselinovic over Carla Pallares, 6-0, 6-0, and Jacqueline Lee over Lauren Strasburger, 6-2, 6-2. Kayla Berry defeated Jessica Jones, 6-0, 6-0, and Krissy Dowlin defeated Greer Satherlie, 6-2, 7-5.

The Hawkeyes return to action February 17th at Minnesota.
