IOWA CITY, IA – University of Iowa women’s track sprinter Kineke Alexander has placed third in the 400 meters at the Central American – Caribbean Games held in Cartagena, Columbia. Alexander ran a time of 52.04 which was good enough to give her native country, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, its first medal of the CAC Games. Ana Guevara of Mexico won the race in a time of 50.99. Alexander, a junior for the Hawks, is a four-time all-american. She’s the 2006 indoor 400 meter national champion.
