IOWA CITY – The Iowa men’s golf team hosted the final day of the Hawkeye Intercollegiate at Finkbine Golf Course Sunday. After shooting the final 18 holes, the Hawkeyes finished in second place with a team score of 888. Western Illinois won the tournament with a team score of 883.
The Hawkeyes’ highest finisher was junior Dan Holterhaus (+5) who tied for fifth place. Senior Jon Feldick (+8) tied for 10th place, junior Scot Glasford (+13) tied for 19th place, sophomore Cole Peevler (+15) tied for 24th place and senior Bennett Hammerberg (+17) tied for 26th place. Sophomore Zack Anderson (+20) competed as an individual and finished tied for 37th place.
The Hawkeyes will travel to Ann Arbor, MI, next weekend to play in the Wolverine Intercollegiate. Play will begin at 8:30 a.m. both days.
